The Hercules Monument erected by Guerniero upon the commission of Landgrave Carl until 1717 lies 526 m above sea level. Its exposed location allows it to freely unfold its effect over long distances.

The Baroque water features below the Hercules Monument were created from the end of the 17th century onwards and are a milestone in the history of art and horticulture.

Even when it is not flowing, the waterfall alluding to an abandoned quarry is an impressive park image from its time of origin during the Romantic period.

The Teufelsbrücke is an expression of the enormous fascination with the natural beauties of the Alps and offers dramatic effects through the huge masses of water that are staged.

With its ca. 30 metres, the Aqueduct is the deepest waterfall to date in an artfully designed park and thus unique in the world.

With the jet of the fountain spouting ca. 50 metres into the air, the water features reach their overwhelming climax here each Wednesday and Sunday and on holidays from 1 May to 3 October.
